Verbreitung
Obwohl Whitehead (1985) D. elopsoides als im Indo-Westpazifik weit verbreitet ansah, ist die Art, wie sie von Hata et al. (2022) erkannt wurde, auf indonesische Gewässer beschränkt worden.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 5.10.2022:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Die größten Bedrohungen für diese Art sind unbekannt. Es wird angenommen, dass illegale, unregulierte und nicht gemeldete Fischerei diese Art in Teilen ihres Verbreitungsgebiets negativ beeinflusst (z. B. auf den Philippinen), allerdings ist das Ausmaß nicht bekannt.
