Typusfundort: Südlich von Toba, in der Nähe von Nagoya, Pazifikküste Japans, Japanisches Meer, Tiefe 180 m.
Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren des Ichthyologen Tokiharu Abe (1911-1996), Zoologisches Institut der Universität Tokio, der die Typusexemplare gesammelt hat.

Indo-Westpazifik: Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Vietnam.

Status: Stand 16.10.2022:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
