Typusfundort: Saudi Arabia, Farasan Island, 16°43.083'N, 42°03.934'E (Karte), auf einem isolierten Korallenfleck der Lagune, in 3–5 m Tiefe.
Etymologie
Der Artname stammt vom Lateinischen pilosus und bedeutet "haarig" und mentum bedeutet "Kinn", bezogen auf die zusätzlichen Reihen von Papillen am Kinn. (Übersetzt aus der Orignalbeschreibung)
