Typusfundort: Arapari-Gebiet auf Louis Orellas Manari Ranch, etwa 4 Meilen westlich vom Ranchhaus entfernt, 9. Bezirk, Guyana.
Etymologie
Benannt nach der Rupununi-Savanne, Guyana.
Verbreitung
Nur aus der Rupununi-Savanne in Guyana bekannt, des oberen Río Tacutu-Einzugsgebietes, der in den Río Branco mündet und Teil des Amazonas-Beckens ist.
