Etymologie
Das lateinische Wort attonitus bedeutet "vom Donner gerührt" oder "betäubt" und bezieht sich auf die Maulöffnung, wenn das Maul vollständig geöffnet ist, eine Position, die oft bei konservierten Exemplaren vorhanden ist.
