Etymologie
Atro- (= schwarz); pous (= Fuß), bezieht sich auf die große schwarze Bauchflosse; basiert auf "Les Atropus" von Cuvier 1816, also nicht tautonym mit Brama atropos. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
