Etymologie
Von brazen (= messingfarben), bezogen auf die einheitliche Braunfärbung. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Vom Río Papagayo, Guerrero, Pazifische Küste von Mexiko, nach Río Choluteca, pazifisches Honduras. Die Typuslokalität ist 'Oaxaca', Mexiko.
