Typusfundort: Shika-hama, Insel Ototo-jima, Bonin-Inseln, Ogasawara-Inseln, 27°07'44"N, 142°11'01"E (Karte), 5–25 m Tiefe.
Etymologie
Vom Lateinischen abgeleitet und bedeutet "aufgehende Sonne" in Bezug auf die Körperfarbe.
Verbreitung
Beschränkt auf die Ogasawara-Inseln (nur Bonin-Inseln), Japan.
