Holotypus: NMW 90746.
Typusfundort: In einem Bach des Douano-Sub-Systems (Nyanga) im Regenwald der Mayumbe-Berge bei Banyanga (G 27/76).
Etymologie
Aus dem Lateinischen primus, zuerst, erster, und genus, Gattung, Generation, sich auf die hypotethische primitive Stellung innerhalb der Aphyosemion striatum-Artengruppe beziehend.
Verbreitung
Dolle-N'Gounie- und Nyanga-Flusssysteme, Südwestgabun.
