Etymologie
-oides (= mit der Form von:) Amygdalus, die Untergattung des Pfirsichbaums Prunus (Amygdalus) persica, was sich darauf bezieht, dass der tiefe, eiförmige Panzer und die markanten, erhabenen Dorsalkämme „an einen großen Pfirsichstein erinnern“. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
