Typusfundort: Gippiwall Point, 9°42'42"S, 150°45'12"E [ (Kate)], Normanby Island, Papua-Neuguinea, Westpazifik, Tiefe 35 Meter.
Etymologie
Halonevum: Name von "Halo nevus", einem Hautzustand, der durch blasse Flecken mit rotem Zentrum gekennzeichnet ist und sich auf ähnliche Flecken auf dem Körper der Art bezieht.
Verbreitung
Indopazifik: Malediven und Weihnachtsinsel; Indonesien, Philippinen, Papua-Neuguinea, Salomonen, neue Hebriden und anscheinend Gesellschaftsinseln.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 6.02.2019:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Grund für die Gefährdungseinstufung: Keine größeren Gefahren bekannt.
