Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von Alan Roy Emery (geb. 1939), Kurator, Ichthyologie und Herpetologie, Royal Ontario Museum, "Freund, Kollege und Tauchkumpel, in Erinnerung an unsere Expeditionen in den Indopazifik".
Verbreitung
Indopazifik: Insel Comoro und Chagos Archipel östlich von Tonga, nördlich der Ryukyu Inseln, südlich von Australien.
