Etymologie
Von latus (= breit oder weit); striatus (= gestreift), bezieht sich vermutlich auf das seitliche Band, das sich von der Oberseite des Kiemendeckels zur Mitte der Schwanzflosse hin verbreitert. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
