Typusfundort: Waku, Shimonoseki, Honshu, Japan.
Etymologie
.
Verbreitung
Takifugu alboplumbeus wird entlang der chinesischen Küste, von Liaoning im Norden bis Guangxi (Golf von Tonkin) gefunden. Dazu gehören das Bohai-Meer, das Gelbe Meer, das Ostchinesische Meer und das Südchinesische Meer. Die Art kann im Indischen Ozean vorkommen, dies muss jedoch noch bestätigt werden (Yamanoue et al. 2009, Nakabo 2002). Sie wird in Tiefen von 1 bis 50 Metern gefunden.
