Synodontis macrodon Geoffroy St. Hilaire, 1827 Lokale BezeichnungStatusAuf der Abbildung von Geoffroy Saint Hilaire von 1809 ist eindeutig zu erkennen, dass die Oberkieferbarteln dieses Fisches gefiedert sind. Keine andere Synodontis-Art besitzt gefiederte Oberkiefer-Barteln. Valenciennes (1840) verdreht die Artzugehörigkeit der beiden Arten Synodontis synodontis und Synodontis clarias, was seither ungerechtfertigt beibehalten wurde. |
