Typen
Holotypus: BPBM 13361.
Typusfundort: Red Sea, Gulf of Aqaba, Israel, Eilat, off Heinz Steinitz Marine Laboratory (now Interuniversity Institute for Marine Sciences in Eilat), 29.502°N, 34.929°E, (Karte), in 10.5 m Tiefe.
Etymologie
Das Art-Epitheton ist vom Griechischen pyrios, eines der vier Pferde, die den Wagen des Sonnengottes Helios über den Himmel zogen; in Bezug auf die orange-rote Färbung der Art.
Verbreitung
Die Art ist derzeit nur von der Typuslokalität, dem Golf von Aqaba am nördlichen Ende des Roten Meeres bekannt.
