Etymologie
Neglecta (= übersehen), da die Japaner diese Art mit Scorpaena cirrhosa (jetzt Scorpaenopsis cirrosa) verwechselt hatten. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Vor Nordwestaustralien und im Westpazifik, von Japan bis zur Ostküste Australiens, in Tiefen von 42–600 m.
