Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von Robert Tizard, World Wildlife Fund, "in Dankbarkeit für seine Hilfe in verschiedenen Etappen" von Kottelats Untersuchung über laotische Fische. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Laos: Xe Kong Becken.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 08.08.2017: DD Data Deficient (ungenügende Datengrundlage)
Grund für die Gefährdungseinstufung: In einem Teil des Verbreitungsgebietes wird durch den Bau der Xe Kaman Dämme der Lebensraum negativ beeinflusst. Holzfällung, Entwaldung und Landwirtschaft treten in der Region auf, mit den damit verbundenen Auswirkungen auf die aquatische Umwelt. Bodenerosion, Sedimentation und landwirtschaftliche Verschmutzung werden erwartet.
