Etymologie
Ekteínō (= gr. für "sich strecken"); urus (von ourá = Schwanz), vermutlich in Bezug auf seinen Schwanz, der sich "schnell verjüngt und zur Spitze hin sehr schlank wird". (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Nordwestlicher Pazifik: Vietnam, Taiwan bis Korea und Japan.

Status: Stand 24.4.2024:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
