Typusfundort: Pará, Oriximiná, Bachzulauf zum Igarapé do Moura bei Platô Monte Branco, Rio Trombetas Einzug, Amazonasbecken, 1°35’58.09"S, 56°31’21.83"W (Karte), Brasilien.
Etymologie
Benannt in Erinnerung an Dário Armin Halboth (1965-2003), einen „ausgezeichneten Feldbiologen“ und einer der ersten Forscher, der die Auswirkungen von Bauxit-Rückständen, die in einem Amazonas-See abgelagert wurden, auf Fischgemeinschaften untersuchte. Vor seinem frühen Tod widmete er sich der Beschreibung der ökologischen Merkmale der Fische, die in Bächen des Bundesstaates Amapá, Brasilien, leben. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
