Typusfundort: Äußerer Riffabhang an der Westseite, Alite Riff, vor Malaita, Salomonen, Westpazifik, Tiefe 60 m.
Etymologie
Parvus (= klein); rostris (= Schnauze), bezieht sich auf die relativ kurze Schnauze, 4,6 bis 5,6 mal in der Kopflänge.
Verbreitung
Indo-Westpazifik: Mauritius (Maskarenen); Indonesien östlich bis Palau, nördlich bis Südjapan, südlich bis Westaustralien und Salomonen.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 22.1.2022:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Keine größeren Gefahren beaknnt.
