Etymologie

Avicennia (= eine Mangrovengattung), bezieht sich auf den bevorzugten Lebensraum dieser Art in Mangrovensümpfen. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)

Thailand, Malaysia, Singapur, Brunei und Indonesien (westlich der Lydekker’s Linie).
