Holotypus: ZMH 25895.
Typusfundort: 12°22'8"N, 53°02'7"E - 12°21'2"N, 53°01'3"E (Karte), vor der Insel Socotra, 1000-1120 m Tiefe.
Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren des verstorbenen Nikolai Vasil’evich Parin (1932-2012), Russische Akademie der Wissenschaften, Ichthyologe und Chefwissenschaftler der "denkwürdigen" Kreuzfahrt 17 von RV Vityaz 1988/89, auf der das Typusexemplar gesammelt wurde. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
