Etymologie
Komniniert aus dem Griechisches Wort para (= nahe, ähnlich), und Aphanius, vom griechischen Wort aphanus (= unsichtbar), eine Gattung von Zahnkarpfen, in Bezug auf seine phylogenetische Schwester-Position von Aphanius und Aphaniops.
