Etymologie
Aus dem Griechischen pous, Fuß, und oxys, scharf, spitz, sich auf die spitz auslaufende Afterflosse bei männlichen Tieren beziehend.
Verbreitung
Lagunen und Sümpfe im Küstenbereich Tansanias.
