Etymologie
Von argyros (= Silber); gramme (= Linie), vermutlich bezieht sich der Name auf die silberne Seitenlinie ("linea laterali argentea"). (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Asien: Syrien und die Türkei (Ref. 92804). Aus dem Iran gemeldet.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 29.03.2917: LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gründe für die Gefährdungseinstufung: Wasserabzweigung, weniger Niederschlag durch Klimawandel und Wasserspeicherung durch Dämme sind die hauptsächlichen Gefährdungen für diese Art. Diese Gefährdungen steigen aufgrund der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung des Verbreitungsgebietes stark an.
