Etymologie
Vom lateinischen geminatus (= Zwilling), in Anspielung auf die offensichtlich nahe phylogenetische Beziehung und oberflächliche Ähnlichkeit dieser Art zu Owstonia fallax.
Verbreitung
Westpazifik: Vanuatu und die Philippinen.
