Etymologie
Fossorius (= fossil oder wühlend), entdeckt in "matschigem Schlamm" in einer Tiefe von 0,6-0,9 m in den Reisfeldern einer Bananenplantage, nachdem er "seinen aquatischen Lebensraum fast aufgegeben und eine wühlende Lebensweise angenommen hat". (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
