Typusfundort: Kenia, temporärer Graben, verbunden mit dem Überschwemmungsgebiet des Nyando Rivers, Victoriasee Becken, 0°09'00.0"S, 35°00'18.0"E (Karte).
Etymologie
Benannt nach Patrick de Rham, Lausanne, Schweiz, der diese Art als Erster, bereits 1985 entdeckte und für seinen Beitrag zur Beobachtung von Teilen des Lebenszyklus dieser Art in der Natur.
Verbreitung
Derzeit bekannt aus temporären Teichen entlang der Straße Awasi-Kisumu und der Umgebung, allesamt im Überschwemmungsgebiet des Nyando Rivers im Victoriasee-Becken.
