Typusfundort: Uganda: Albert-Nil-Einzug: flache Restwasserbecken im saisonalen Flussbett, 20 km nördlich von Pakwach, 2°36'19"N, 31°23'04"E (Karte).
Etymologie
Der spezifische Name albertinensis, bezieht sich auf den Westlichen oder Albert Graben (englisch: Albertine Rift) des Ostafrikanischen Grabens, der Typuslokalität.
Verbreitung
Uganda: im Tal des nördlichen Albertsee-Beckens bis zum Einzug des Albert-Nils, meist in saisonalen Tümpeln und Sümpfen.
