Etymologie
Nedys (= Gebärmutter); stoma (= Maul), bezieht sich vermutlich auf das Maulbrutverhalten der Männchen, bei dem sie die Eier bis zum Schlüpfen im Maul tragen (ein Verhalten, das bei vielen Ariiden vorkommt). (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
