Etymologie
.
Verbreitung
Küstenabflüsse von São Paulo bis nach Rio Grande do Sul. Kommt nicht im Rio Uruguay-Einzugsgebiet vor. Die dort vorkommende Art, die bisher meist Microglanis cottoides zugeordnet wurde, ist nach Souza-Shibatta et al., 2018: 15 Microglanis malabarbai.
