Grund für die Gefährdungseinstufung: Die Ausrottungen im Arkansas-Flussbecken wurden wahrscheinlich durch den Bau von Reservoirs verursacht, die zuvor bestehende Quell- /Senken-Beziehungen zwischen den Populationen zertrennt haben.
