Typusfundort: Palawan Passage, 10°57'45"N, 118°38'15"E (Karte), Philippinen, Albatross Station 5348, Tiefe 375 Faden.
Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von Paul Bartsch (1871-1960), stellvertretender Kurator am US-amerikanisches Nationalmuseum für Naturgeschichte, Abteilung für Mollusken, Mitglied der philippinischen Albatros-Expedition, die das Typusexemplar sammelte.
Verbreitung
Indo-Westpazifik: Golf von Aden und Südafrika östlich bis zu den Hawaii-Inseln, nördlich bis südlich von Japan.

Status: Stand 26.05.2021:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
