Typen
Holotypus: WAM P. 34428.
Paratypen: WAM P. 34319–006 (1, 1), P. 34428–002 (1, 0).
Typusfundort: Milne Bay Province, Alotau, Papua New Guinea, 4.8 km west of main wharf, 10°18.256'S, 150°24.768'E, [ (Karte)], 14,5 m Tiefe.
Etymologie
Diese Art heißt nanus (lateinisch: Zwerg) mit Bezug auf ihre geringe Größe, die die kleinste in der Gattung ist. (Übersetzt aus der Erstbeschreibung)
