Status: Stand 9.05.2017: LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Grund für die Gefährdungseinstufung: Es gibt keine großen Bedrohungen für Synagrops microlepis. Synagrops microlepis wird gewöhnlich mit Bodenschleppnetzen in Tiefen von meist über 200 m gefangen. Allerdings gibt es derzeit keine Hinweise auf Populationsrückgänge aufgrund des Fanges.
