Etymologie
Aus dem Griechischen gymnos, nackt, und dem Lateinischen ventris, Bauch, sich auf den schuppenlosen Körperbereich vor dem Bauch beziehend.
Verbreitung
Arroyo del Ceibo-Becken, ein südlicher Zufluss zur Laguna Mirim und die daran angrenzende Küstenebene, Bezirk Rocha, Ost-Uruguay.
