Etymologie
Typhlops (= blind), ein Höhlenfisch, bei dem "keine äußeren Spuren von Augen zu sehen sind". (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)

Iran: unterirdische Gewässer im Einzugsgebiet des Tigris.
