Typusfundort: Sikkim, Tista River bei Rangpo, Ganga Becken, 27°10'43"N, 88°32'10"E (Karte), Indien.
Etymologie
Von quadrum (= quadratisch); rostris (= Schnabel oder Schnauze), bezieht sich auf einen quadratischen Rüssel. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Indien: weit verbreitet in den Bezirken Upper Siang, West Kameng und Papum Pare des oberen Brahmaputra-Beckens.
