Typen
Holotypus: ZVC P 798.
Typusfundort: Uruguay, Bezirk Rocha, temporärer Tümpel an der Ruta 15 zwischen Arroyo Valizas und Aguas Dulces, etwa 34°22'S, 53°43'W.
Etymologie
Der Artname wird davon abgeleitet, dass diese Art häufig am Straßenrand in temporären Tümpeln aufgefunden wurde.
Verbreitung
Isolierte Zuflüsse zum Atlantik an der Küste Südost-Uruguays.
