Etymologie
Der spezifische Name amamiko bezieht sich auf die Göttin der Ryukyu-Inseln in der japanischen Mythologie.
Verbreitung
Eviota amamiko ist derzeit bekannt von den Inseln Yaku-shima, Kakeroma-jima und Iriomote-jima, Ryukyu Inseln, Japan.
