Typusfundort: Río Iroquois, karibischer Abhang, Río Parisimina Becken, 10°09'N, 83°34'48"W (Karte), östlicher Abhang von Costa Rica.
Etymologie
Etymologie nicht erklärt, vielleicht sclero- (= zäh oder hart); parius (vielleicht von pario- (= Wange)), d.h. hartbackig, aber nichts in der Beschreibung und der nachfolgenden Literatur stützt diese Interpretation. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
