Etymologie

Verbreitung
Rotes Meer; Indo-Westpazifik: Ostafrika, Sokotra, Persischer Golf und Madagaskar östlich bis Fidschi, Tonga und Samoa, nördlich bis Südjapan, südlich bis Westaustralien und Queensland (Australien) sowie Neukaledonien.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 18.01.2021:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Starker Fischereidruck ist eine potenzielle Bedrohung für diese Art auf lokaler Ebene, aber es ist derzeit nicht bekannt, dass dies zu einem starken Rückgang auf globaler Ebene führt.
