Verbreitung
Westpazifik vor Taiwan und Südjapan. Bathymetrischer Bereich ca. 30-100 m.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 26.04.2018: DD Data Deficient (ungenügende Datengrundlage)
Grund für die Gefährdungseinstufung: Größere Bedrohungen sind für diese Spezies nicht bekannt. Dies ist ein relativ kleiner Plattfisch (bis zu 7 cm SL), der in Gewässern mittlerer Tiefe (bis zu 92 m) vorkommt. Er wird wahrscheinlich in einigen Gebieten, in denen er auftritt, als Beifang in Grundschleppnetzen gefangen, aber es ist nicht bekannt, ob dies negative Auswirkungen auf die Gesamtpopulation hat.
