Typusfundort und -schicht: Hongohigashi, Kakegawa, Dainichi FM, Gelasian, planktonische Foraminiferenzone N21 (PL6), 2.3-2.0 Millionen Jahre.

Etymologie

Benannt nach der Region Kakegawa mit mehreren Fundorten, von denen diese Art stammt, und auch in Bezug auf die „Kakegawa-Fauna“ (nach Nobuhara 1993).
