Etymologie
Laimos (= Hals) und spilos (= Fleck), bezogen auf dicht gesetzte weißliche Flecken am Hals dieser Muräne.
Verbreitung
Zur Zeit nur vom südwestlichen Taiwan and Luzon (nördliche Philippinen) bekannt.
