Etymologie
Von atra (= schwarz); ora (= Grenze), bezogen auf „auffälliges“ schwarzes Endband an der Schwanzflosse der Männchen. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Río Salado und Cuatro Ciénegas Systeme in Mexiko.
