Etymologie
Divergens (= abweichend), bezieht sich auf "abweichende Dornkiele der Schuppen auf der Oberseite des Kopfes". (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Japan und Taiwan: bisher nur aus dem Okinawa-Trog und dem nördlichen Südchinesischen Meer in Tiefen von 515–1110 m bekannt.
