Typusfundort: Lin'an Bauernmarkt, als vom Dongshaoxi River stammend bezeichnet (ein Zufluss zum Shaoxi River), Lin'an (30°24′N, 119°68′E(??) ca. (Karte)), Zhejiang, China.
Etymologie
Der Name der Art leitet sich vom lateinischen brevis ab, was kurz bedeutet, und pinna, was Feder/Flosse bedeutet, in Bezug auf eine kurze Rückenflosse.
Verbreitung
Diese Art kommt im Dongshaoxi Fluss (ein Zufluss des Shaoxi Flusses) in der Provinz Zhejiang in Ostchina vor.
