Etymologie
Von bi- (= zwei); maculatum (= gefleckt), bezogen auf den breiten, schwarzen, subbasalen Fleck oder das Band auf der Rückenflosse, und den großen, ovalen, schwarzen Fleck, der das dunkle laterale Band am Schwanzstiel und der Schwanzflossenbasis umfasst. (Übersetzt aus The ETYFish Project)
